Steven, to Sophie, at approximately 8:30 PM tonight:
"Ooookay, you're crying about your flashcards, and that means its time for bed."
[Gathers her up to carry her to bed, still talking to her]
"You know, Mommy did the same thing when she was studying for the bar exam. She cried over her flashcards, too. Are you doing a re-enactment of 2007? Yeah? Ok. Time for bed."
