Steven is playing on a fantasy baseball team this season, along with an attorney from my work and a few other people. So far, Steven has done pretty darn well, especially considering this is only his second fantasy baseball season ever. We think its all due to some good draft picks.
How good were Steven's draft picks? Well, as proof, I hereby provide you with another baseball fanatic's fantasy draft picks: President George W. Bush's "Dream Team"
Bushie chose Roy Halliday and Josh Beckett as his favorite pitchers.
And so did Steven! Clearly my dear baseball-crazed husband is destined for presidential greatness. (Or maybe just for a win in fantasy baseball, but whatever.)
It is no surprise that George W. Bush and Steven D. Steele have the same baseball picks -- it just fits. Baseball and Republicans, folks. Chevrolet and apple pie. Fighter jet flyovers, timed just right. Macaroni in a blue box with powdered cheese that only gets better after it sits in the fridge for two days. Stores ending in -Mart. God bless America.
(The only thing that could potentially make this better? Prez picks the team, throws out the first pitch, then John Ashcroft sings the National Anthem. And then Bill Murray sings "Take Me Out To The Ballgame.")
